WE all love our furry friends - and we are sure they love us too.

Though, sadly, there are some pets out there who are currently in need of a little bit of affection.

The North Ayrshire branch of Cats Protection is one place where a number of loving felines end up, when they are in-between homes.

All cats adopted from the charity can become yours for a small adaption fee of £120, which covers vet bills prior to their arrival at their new forever homes.

We thought we would have a look and see some of the cats who for one reason or another are currently in need.

Two-year-old, male, domestic short-hair Dwayne could prove to be great family pet.

He came into care as he couldn't get safe outdoor access in his home.

Female domestic short-hair Rose is a real character with the eight-year-old full of life indeed.

She is a busy girl who likes to rush around and see what you are up to.

She would like a home with older kids and no other pets. She would like outdoor access, once settled.

He came into care when he wasn't happy living with the kids in his home.

He is a nice boy but likes to do his own thing and so would be best in a quiet home with an experienced cat owner.
