UPDATE: Amanda Ball has now been traced by police.
POLICE say they are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a woman reported missing from Saltcoats.
Amanda Ball was last seen leaving an address in the Canal Street area of the town at around 12.15 on Friday, May 17.
The 49-year-old is described as around five feet and seven inches tall and of medium build.
She has a nose ring and bright red hair which is usually tied up in a bobble.
When last seen she was known to be wearing dark blue jeans, a light powder-blue hoodie, and pink adidas trainers, carrying a black bag with tassels.
As well as being from Saltcoats Amanda is known to have links to the Cumbernauld and wider Glasgow area.
Inspector Lisa Thomson of Irvine Police Office said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Amanda’s welfare and we want to make sure she is safe and well.
“I am asking the public to keep a look out for Amanda and if you see her, or know where she may be, to contact us as soon as possible.”
Anyone who can help is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 1679 of May 17, 2024.
