A FORMER North Ayrshire Council conference centre has been put up for sale.
The local authority have brought the old Greenwood Conference Centre onto the property market this month after a review of council owned properties in Irvine.
The Dreghorn building and associated land was deemed surplus to requirements and it was decided it would be sold at a meeting of the council's cabinet back in March.
The conference centre was closed during the Covid pandemic and was leased to the NHS.
The health service continued to use the building until February this year when they vacated the site and renounced their lease.
The property has now been listed for sale by consultants Graham and Sibbald - described as a "development opportunity".
Included in the sale, as well as the conference centre building itself, is the associated land totalling over 3.5 acres.
The price of the property is not included within the online listing, however, when the disposal of the building was discussed at cabinet, it was stated that the centre could generate capital income of £700,000.
Council documents added that revenue savings of £124,000 would also be made with running costs and maintenance no longer required at the building.
The full property listing is available online and can be viewed at g-s.co.uk/property/?property=52237.
