ONE of Saltcoats' newest businesses is looking to give back to the community with the launch of a new initiative.

Honeybee Cottage opened on Hamilton Street, making the move from Kilwinning, back in March.

Within the premises, located in the former Stems and Gems shop, there is a meditation studio and craft studio, and the business also runs a range of craft, meditation and gardening classes.

The business has been the brainchild of former Ardrossan Academy teacher Denise Harvey - who aims to provide the perfect place for those looking to improve their mental health.

Following a successful launch of the Honeybee Cottage in Saltcoats over the past two months, Denise is now looking to give back.

The business is now offering free meditation and sound bath sessions to community and charitable organisations within North Ayrshire to support their members or service users.

Ardrossan and Saltcoats Herald: Honeybee Cottage in Saltcoats is looking to give back to the North Ayrshire community.

Denise will be offering up one of Honeybee's regular Thursday night sessions per month to the groups - and is inviting any interested parties to come into the store and apply or to register their interest by emailing info@honeybee-cottage.com.

She commented: "Since opening at the end of March, our meditation and sound bath classes have been really popular and we see these free sessions as our way of giving back to the community.

"We know that there are people that would benefit from meditation and sound bath sessions that are unable to due to cost, and hope that our new initiative will help us to reach some of these people.

"If the sessions are successful, we hope to be able to work in partnerships with individual organisations to develop longer term projects to support their members or service users."
