A MAN has been taken to hospital in Glasgow after he was "found injured" in Stevenston.
Police Scotland were called to the man's aid shortly before 8am on Sunday, June 2.
The man was found outside of a property on Caledonian Road in the town.
Residents reported a heavy police presence around a property in the street in the hours that followed.
A number of police vehicles were seen in the area as well as a heavy presence of officers.
Images taken from around the area also show what appear to be forensic teams at a property near Caledonian Road's junction with Ardoch Crescent.
Police were said to still be at the property late on Sunday evening. They returned to the location on the morning of Monday, June 3.
They say enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.45am on Sunday, June 2, 2024, we were made aware of a man found injured outside a property on Caledonian Road, Stevenston.
“Emergency services attended and he was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
