COMPETITION was fierce as Stanley Primary School's AstroTurf hosted the 'Ardrossan Academy Cluster Cup'.
The end of year tournament is competed amongst teams from four local primary schools - where most of the pupils will head to the local secondary school after their final year.
Dykesmains, West Kilbride, Stanley and Winton primaries were all in the running with very little to separate any of the teams.
Stanley were eventually crowned winners as they came through in an incredibly exciting final against Winton.
They got their hands on the tournament trophy as they won in a penalty shootout after a draw in regular time.
While Winton also got their hands on silverware at the end of the day, having won the regular league season competed throughout the year.
They received their winners medals and shield after Stanley were presented with the cluster cup trophy.
More importantly, there were plenty of smiling faces on display throughout the tournament with the sun shining down in Ardrossan.
North Ayrshire's active school co-ordinator added: "It was a fantastic day and great to see the whole cluster together.
"There was some exceptional talent on display from all involved!"
