North Ayrshire Council have asked residents for their views on play opportunities for young people throughout the area.

Officers are currently working on a Play Sufficiency Assessment, which is is required as part of the process of updating their Local Development Plan.

And NAC says the views of residents, stakeholders and young people are an important part of the process.

A spokesperson said: "The council is currently seeking views to better understand children’s (and their parents/carers) experience of playing or spending time outdoors.

"We are asking those interested to fill out the short survey by the end of July 12.

"To try and receive as many responses as possible, we have designed three surveys aimed at different age groups. One for Primary School aged children, one for secondary aged children and one for Parents/carers/guardians of kids of any age.

"If you would like to view and fill in the short surveys, please visit the dedicated webpage https://northayrshireldp.commonplace.is/en-GB/proposals/play-in-north-ayrshiresurvey which has all the information needed to fill out the surveys."
