Two people were taken to hospital following a one car crash on the A737 between Kilwinning and Dalry yesterday (Sunday, June 9).
The accident happened near The Den and the road was closed for some time as fire officers and an ambulance crew were in attendance.
It's believed there were no serious injuries and both of the occupants were released from hospital after checks.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said today: “We were called around 11.45am on Sunday, June 9, to a report of a one vehicle crash on the A737 between Kilwinning and Dalry.
“Emergency services attended and the driver and passenger were taken to hospital to be checked over.
“The driver, a 30-year-old man, was issued with a Fixed Penalty Notice.”
