A MEETING is being held in Kilwinning to discuss the possibility of bringing the Men's Shed movement to the town.
The locality team at North Ayrshire Council have arranged the informal meeting to take place from 7-8.30pm on Wednesday, June 12, to discuss forming a community shed under the charity umbrella.
The UK Men's Shed organisation looks to encourage people to come together to make, repair and repurpose, supporting projects in their local communities.
It is hoped that in doing so, this will improve member's wellbeing, reducing loneliness and combatting social isolation.
There are already a number of Men's Sheds, or similar community sheds, right across North Ayrshire - though Kilwinning is yet to form one of its own.
All who would be interested in finding out more are being encouraged to come along to the meeting in Kilwinning Library on Wednesday.
Alternatively, you can request further information by contacting the locality team on 01294 554699 or emailing kilwnclocality@north-ayrshire.gov.uk.
