PLANS have been revealed to transform a former Stevenston pharmacy.
Applicant Amjid Hussain is looking to change the use of the premises previously occupied by Gallagher's Pharmacy on New Street.
Mr Hussain is hoping to change the use of the building, which the pharmacy vacated to move to a larger location further along the street, to form a restaurant and cafe.
Documents attached to the application set out proposals for around eight tables, catering for approximately 20 diners.
The old pharmacy counter would be maintained with the preparation and service area located in this part of the building.
At this stage, no further details have been provided on how many jobs the proposal may bring to the area.
While there is no disclosure of the planned food offerings or opening time of the potential new business.
The plans were brought to North Ayrshire Council planners earlier this week and are currently pending consideration.
The application can be viewed in full via the council's online planning portal, searching for reference 24/00493/PP.
