A THREE Towns fitness instructor is set to bring a unique night of entertainment to the Metro nightclub in Saltcoats.

The Hamilton Street venue is set to be transformed into a Strictly Come Dancing stage on Friday, July 5, as dance instructor Louie Fecou shows off some of his favourite moves from the hit TV show including ballroom and Latin American styles.

Revellers at the nightclub, both past and present, may be more accustomed to "cutting shapes" but this latest event to be organised by owners Gary Burns and Stevie Miller will see a move into something a little bit different.

And Louie won’t just be showing off his dance steps at 'Ya Dancer! Strictly Come Dancing', he will be inviting guests to learn the moves on the dance floor of the iconic nightclub.

The fitness and dance instructor, who has taught locally for over 30 years, says he is very much looking forward to the event.

He revealed: “I’ve had a lot of memories of nights at the Metro in the past and I am looking forward to getting the chance to dance on the stage next month.

“I teach Fitsteps, which is based on the dances of the Strictly Come Dancing show where you don’t need a partner just a willingness to learn some moves.

“I hope that people who not only love to dance but fancy a trip down memory lane will come along on the night.”

Owner Stevie Miller said: “It’s been great seeing this place find a place in the heart of our community again.

“We want to offer something for everyone, and we have some exciting plans for the next few months.”

Those wishing to attend are welcome to come along on the night, with more details to be released closer to the event on the Metro Saltcoats Facebook page.
