A HERITAGE group in Kilwinning is seeking volunteers to help with tours of the town's historic Abbey Tower this summer.

If you are interested in local history, reasonably fit and enjoy meeting people, you could fit Kilwinning Heritage's bill.

Kilwinning Heritage secretary Christine Watson said: “We are looking for volunteers like you this summer.

"You need to be at least 18, and while an interest in history is useful, you do not need to know a lot about the area and its history, as basic training and advice will be available.

"Our volunteers enjoy working together and meeting people from all over the world as well as the local area.”
