Stevenston's Doon The Beach community hub and cafe will be holding another summer fun day this Saturday.

And there will be plenty of attractions to keep the kids and adults occupied now the summer holidays have begun.

The event will run on Stevenston beach from 10am to 4pm on Saturday, July 6.

All of the kids activities will be free on the day, including bouncy castles, an inflatable assault courses and rodeo from West Coast Castles.

There will also be pony and donkey rides and an alpaca petting area as well as face painting and glitter painting, badge and keyring making, arts and crafts.

The kids can also enjoy outdoor archery and Connect 4 and there will be performances from the Rock Choir too.

There will be displays of emergency services vehicles too.

There will be information stalls from North Ayrshire Tandem Club, St John's Ambulance Service, Whitelees Retreat, the Coastguard and Ardeer Youth Football Academy, along with dog first aid demonstrations.

The popular Blackhouse Sauna team will be there too. Anyone who fancies a sauna, be sure to book in to avoid disappointment on the day. You can book in here and select your time.

The hub and cafe are also extremely excited to be welcoming PAWA along on Saturday, bringing authentic African food and music.

Choose Kilwinning are bringing along some fun outdoor games and there may also be a special visit from The Segdoune Royal Party as well.

Doon The Beach was started by the charity Raise Your Voice With Ardeer, who aim to tackle poverty, social issues and mental health in the town.

The hub finally opened in February 2023 and has been a great asset for the Three Towns.
