POLICE have revealed CCTV images of two males they want to trace in connection with an alleged serious assault on board a train from Glasgow to North Ayrshire.
Officers from the British Transport Police say they believe the pair may have information which could assist their enquiries.
It follows an incident which is said to have occurred on board a train travelling from Glasgow to Largs on Saturday, May 18.
It is claimed that the alleged assault took place on the 6.46pm service from Glasgow Central.
Police say the incident happened at around 7.30pm, when the train was scheduled to be in the Saltcoats and Ardrossan area.
The first man is described as being between 18-20 years old, of a slim build, with short light-coloured hair shaved at the sides.
He was wearing a pink T-shirt, light-coloured trousers, and was carrying a light coloured satchel and wearing grey Nike trainers.
The second male is described as being around the same age and build, with short brown hair.
He was wearing a grey T-shirt with a white Nike logo which had dark stripes around the sleeves.
He was also wearing a chain over his T-shirt as well as dark trousers.
A BTP spokesperson said: "Officers believe that the males in the images may have information which could assist their enquiries and would urge them, or anyone who recognises them, to contact British Transport Police."
