A TALENTED teen from an Ardrossan Winton Rovers youth side has earned herself national recognition.
Olivia Wardrope has come through a number of trial sessions to be selected as part of the Boys and Girls Club (BGC) Scotland under-17 girls' side who will take on BGC Wales in a fixture later this month.
More than 170 players took part in initial sessions before a final squad of 16 was selected to take part in the match on Sunday, July 21.
The game will take place at Stenhousemuir FC's Ochilview Park, with all involved at Winton incredibly proud that Olivia is to be involved.
A spokesperson said: "All Olivia’s family, friends and teammates at AWR are super proud of her and wish her good luck for the game."
