ROADWORKS are set to begin along a number of busy Stevenston roads next week.
The carriageway improvement works are to begin around the Stevenston Cross area on Monday, July 29 - and continue for nearly three weeks, with an anticipated completion date of Friday, August 16.
Road closures will be in place during this time, affecting various streets along the route from Townhead Street to Boglemart Street at different times.
Work is being carried out in two phases, which will both be carried out separately.
The first phase will impact Townhead Street - from the former Rankins pub to the Health Centre - and Main Street - from the Health Centre until the New Street junction.
While this first phase takes place, the road will be closed from 8am-8pm each day - but will be open out with these hours.
The second phase will see work commence on Fullarton Place and Boglemart Street - between home numbers 35-74.
Work will be taking place during the same hours, with the road closed during this time, and open before and afterwards.
There will be no weekend working during either phase of the project.
A signed diversion will be in place throughout the duration of the roadworks, which will be removed early if finished ahead of schedule.
