A POPULAR event is set to return to the Garnock Valley later this month.
The Kilbirnie ambulance station on Paddockholm Road will host the emergency services and community day on Saturday, August 10.
Taking place from 11am until 4pm, the fun filled family day offers free entry for all in attendance.
Having taken place for a number of years in the past, the day has always proved popular.
It is not expected that this year will be any different with all of Police Scotland, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Scottish Ambulance Service and HM Coastguard to be represented - with an army display also to take place.
The crews will be on hand to offer safety advice and teach lifesaving skills, while a number of vintage emergency vehicles will also be present and show an interesting insight on the past of each service.
As well as offering a chance to find out more about the local emergency services, there will also be a number of community groups and organisations at the event.
