THE return of an iconic childhood game proved to be a huge hit in Saltcoats last weekend.
On Saturday, July 27, local volunteer group SeaSalt Streets organised for 'kerbie' to be played on the town's Dockhead Street.
The nostalgic game was just one part of a fantastic event put on by the group, with a number of stalls also set up in the town centre.
While some may argue that the game should be spelt 'kerby', there were no arguments that plenty of fun was had last Saturday.
A SeaSalt Streets spokesperson: "It was great to welcome some local folk, and those from further afield, who had never played the game.
"Likewise, we were delighted to bring a wee bit of nostalgia to those who had clearly spent a lot of time in their youth, perfecting their kerby skills!
"It was even getting a bit competitive at certain points."
