Calmac's ferries between Ardrossan and Arran have been cancelled this morning due to an engine problem.
The company revealed that due to a technical issue with the MV Caledonian Isles main engine, the sailings from Ardrossan at 9.45am and 12.30pm are cancelled.
Departures from Brodick at 11.05am and 1.55pm are also cancelled.
A CalMac spokesperson said: "We are in the process of contacting all customers who will be affected by this disruption.
"Onboard engineers are in the process of carrying out repairs and an update on later sailings will be provided at approximately 2pm.
"A bus will depart Ardrossan at 11:45 to transport passengers to Troon for the 12:45 sailing. This will be on a first come first served basis.
"Due to roadworks on the route to Troon it is not possible for this bus to await the arrival of the 12.06 train at Ardrossan Harbour."
They added: "Disrupting a sailing is a decision we do not take lightly because we know it will inconvenience our customers and the communities we serve. We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
They also suggested using the Claonaig to Lochranza route as an alternative for some passengers.
