A drop-in event for Armed Forces Veterans is set to be held in Saltcoats next week.
Organised by the Saltcoats, Ardrossan and Stevenston branch of the Royal British Legion Scotland and Saltcoats Armed Forces and Veterans Breakfast Club, the event will be held in the Argyle Community Centre in Campbell Avenue from 10am to 1pm on Wednesday, August 28.
The aim is to offer information and support to veterans, their families and carers all from one place.
Many charities and other organisations are coming together including SSAFA, Hearing and Sight loss, Department of Work and Pensions, North Ayrshire Council.
It does not matter when the veteran served, from National Service through to today, or how long and where, RAF, Army or Navy all are welcome.
For those who are not veterans but want to help there may be many volunteers' opportunities.
This is a pilot event to determine need and frequency and is open to all veterans and those looking after veterans.
This may be the first time this is happening in North Ayrshire, so if you want further information on the help available then please pop in have a cuppa and a chat.
There will be parking and disabled access and when you come into the busy building, just follow the signs to the drop in.
