North Ayrshire Council has approved a planning application for 191 energy-efficient new homes in Beith.
North Ayrshire Council’s Planning Committee has unanimously approved plans for 191 high-quality new homes in Beith.
The development by Persimmon West Scotland will see the much-needed new homes built at Kings Road on land allocated for housing in the council’s local development plan.
The site will have a mixture of 16 different terraced, semi-detached, and detached house types suitable for first-time buyers, growing families, and those looking to downsize.
The approved plans were specifically designed to meet the needs of the local housing market and incorporate a focus on energy efficiency and the path to net zero.
The new homes will feature solar panels as well as electric car charging points to support new homeowners to cut carbon and lower household bills.
The development will feature a landscaped entrance to the development, a pedestrian route to Kings Road to improve connectivity by foot, as well as new play parks and areas of open public space.
Craig Moore, Persimmon West Scotland Land Director, said: “We would like to thank North Ayrshire Council for their support with our application.
“This development will bring investment to Beith by building much needed new homes, generating well paid jobs, and enhancing the local area."
