A CRASH on a busy road in Beith has sparked an emergency response.
Emergency services responded to a three vehicle crash on Barrmill Road at around 8.35am on Thursday morning.
An eyewitness said that several police cars, an ambulance and a fire engine were in attendance at the scene.
There were no reports of any serious injuries and police have confirmed that arrangements have been made to uplift the vehicles.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.35am on Thursday, September 5, we were called to a report of a crash involving three vehicles on Barrmill Road, Beith.
“Emergency services attended and there were no reports of any serious injuries. Arrangements have been made to uplift the vehicles.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 8.37am to reports of a road traffic collision involving one vehicle at Barrmill Road in Beith.
"Operations Control mobilised one appliance to the scene to assist our emergency service partners.
"The crew left after ensuring the area was made safe."
