THE Glasgow Warriors will be coming to North Ayrshire this weekend - bringing with them a very special guest.
Back in June, the professional club caused a major upset as they defeated the Bulls, of South Africa, away from home to win the United Rugby Championship title.
And now, the Warriors are touring the country with the coveted trophy - which weighs in at a hefty 25kg - they won that day.
Last week, the tour kicked off in Ayrshire with a trip to Marr Rugby Club in Troon.
Now, the team and trophy will be returning to Ayrshire to pay a visit to the Ardrossan Accies Rugby Club at the Memorial Field on Sorbie Road.
The event will be taking place from 2pm on Sunday, September 8, and all are welcome to come along, meet some players and grab a picture with the trophy.
The host club have put in place some fantastic plans to further mark the occasion.
A spokesperson said: "As us Accies like to do stuff in style, we will have lots happening at the club on the day also.
"Why not bring along your boots and join in on our touch rugby (for all ages) or hangout, soak up the atmosphere and watch with a burger from the BBQ and refreshment from the bar.
"We will have entertainment activities for the younger ones too! This is an open event and all local clubs and local community are welcome."
