PLANS have been revealed which will see the old Sports and Rainwear shop in Saltcoats brought back into use.

Advertisements have appeared on social media in the past few days for a new venture at the former store which closed back in January.

Prior to this, the shop was a mainstay of Hamilton Street having traded in the town for several decades.

Now, only months after its closure, the store looks like it will be brought back to life.

'Your Dream Pop Up Shop' have started advertising their opening in Saltcoats, and are understood to be moving into the vacant premises.

The shop will sell new and old products, ranging from craft good and home baking to gifts and clothing.

The store will operate in a 'car boot sale' or 'Christmas fayre' type fashion, with tables and spaces to be made available for hire and pick up.

The cost of a table is being advertised as beginning from £20 per day - and it is intended that the pop-up will operate from 9am-5pm each day.
