Sailings to Arran face disruption or cancellation on Tuesday due to strong winds and sea swell conditions, ferry operators CalMac have warned.
They said crossings between Ardrossan Harbour and Brodick were at "a heightened risk of cancellation at short notice".
Meanwhile crossings between Troon Harbour and Brodick are expected to operate normally, though the strong winds meant they were" liable to delay or disruption at short notice". And due to the weather conditions, no livestock or timber will be carried on the MV Alfred today.
On the Ardrossan service, CalMac said: "Due to adverse weather in relation to a forecast of strong winds and sea swell conditions, this service is liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice.
"The 8.20am sailing from Brodick will depart as scheduled, due to weather berthing in Ardrossan is not guaranteed.
"Sailings for the remainder of the day are at a heightened risk of cancellation at short notice."
For Troon, the company said: "The Troon - Brodick service is expected to operate to timetable however, due to forecast strong winds, sailings are liable to delay or disruption at short notice.
"Please note no livestock or timber will be carried today due to the weather conditions.
"We’ll keep customers informed should there be any further changes in connection to this route.
