AN ARDROSSAN man has appeared in court on charges of murder and attempted murder following an incident in the town on Tuesday evening.
Terence Welsh, 40, made no plea or declaration when he appeared on petition at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court this afternoon (Thursday).
He was committed for further examination and remanded in custody. He will appear at the court again within the next eight days.
The arrest followed an incident in the town's Montgomerie Street on Tuesday, when a 59-year-old man was found dead in a flat.
A 24-year-old woman was also found lying seriously injured outside the building.
She was rushed to Crosshouse Hospital, where her current condition remains unknown.
