Well-known Dalry man Danny McInnes got a shock when he dug up potatoes from his garden - and unearthed one giant-sized tattie.
Danny enjoys a spot of gardening and has a vegetable patch in his rear garden which he lovingly tends.
He was digging up some tatties for a lunch-time boiling, when he came across a very large specimen which was considerably bigger than the others.
Naturally, finding such a treasure, he had to be proudly photographed beside his prize super-tattie
A delighted Danny told Garnock Valley councillor Donald L Reid, who took the photo: “I was surprised but very pleased to uncover this giant tattie. It really is a cracker.
"And I look forward to having in for dinner.”
