A MAJOR route between North Ayrshire and Glasgow remains closed following an early-morning incident.
The A737 shut between KIlbarchan and Howwood around 3.40am on Monday morning, and remains closed with emergency services on the scene.
A diversion route is currently in place.

Southbound traffic should exit the A737 at Kilbarchan Junction, turn left at the roundabout onto Kilbarchan Road, at the next roundabout take the second left onto the B787, at the next roundabout take the second left onto the B787 Beith Road and continue on the B787 through Howwood and rejoin the A737. Northbound traffic is the same as above but in reverse.
