A SALTCOATS nail technician says she's absolutely delighted after being named the best in Ayrshire.
Kirsty Miller, of KNM Nails, was thrilled to bring home the top trophy at the Ayrshire finals of the Scottish Business Awards, held in Kilmarnock.
She has been a self employed nail technician based in Therapy at the Registry, near South Beach, for three years.
And winning the award knocked her off her feet - especially as she still doesn't know who nominated her.
Kirsty, who lives in Stevenston with her two children, said: "I was so shocked. I really wasn't expecting to win. And I still don't even know who nominated me. No one has owned up to it.
"My two kids are absolutely buzzing. My wee boy said to me before the event, 'My fingers are crossed for you, so that means you are going to win'."
She added: "Therapy at the Registry is a great place to work from. I finally took a leap of faith and went self employed there. All the girls are amazing and lovely."
Asked how she would react if she won the Scottish title, Kirsty laughed: "If I win, here's hoping, the award will be up on my wall with the plaque."
She continued: "I'm just so pleased to be named best in Ayrshire. It is such a big achievement.
"I could not have done it without all my amazing clients and all the people who just took time out of their day to vote for me, so thank you so much. I appreciate every single one of you."
Congratulations to Kirsty for her brilliant achievement - and here's hoping she brings the Scottish title back to the Three Towns after the ceremony in November.
