POLICE have released images of a man suspected of breaking in to a home in the Kilwinning area.
Officers say they are searching for the male as part of their ongoing investigations into the incident which took place on Friday, August 16.
On this day, between the hours of 10.15-10.20am, police received reports of an attempted break-in at a house on Baberton Way in the Whitehirst Park area of the town.
The man in the images is described as white and aged between 30 and 35-years-old.
He was wearing a dark blue baseball cap, a light and dark grey padded jacket, light grey jogging bottoms, light blue trainers.
The male was also carrying a red-handled long screwdriver.
A Police Scotland spokesperson added: "Anyone who can help in identifying and tracing the male should report this to Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 2226 of August 20, 2024.
"Alternatively, Crimestoppers Scotland can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained."
