A WOMAN was taken to hospital following a two-vehicle crash at the Pennyburn Roundabout earlier this week.
The incident is said to have taken place early on Wednesday morning, September 25, on the A738 approach to the Stevenston roundabout.
Police responded to reports of two vehicles colliding, with one of those involved leaving the scene.
The female driver of the other vehicle has since been taken to hospital to be treated for injuries.
Police Scotland say an enquiry is now ongoing to establish the circumstances of the crash and to trace the other driver involved.
A force spokesperson said: "Around 7am on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, police received a report of a road crash involving two vehicles on the A738 near the Pennyburn Roundabout. One of the vehicles left the scene.
"The female driver of the other car was taken to hospital and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and trace the other driver."
