A MUCH-LOVED Saltcoats business has been nominated for a major nationwide award.
The Wee Fish Van is a finalist for an award at the Enterprise Vision Awards, which will announce the winner on Friday, September 27.
The business is owned by Bernadette MacKenzie, and her van serves fresh fish and seafood to people across North Ayrshire.
She decided to get into the industry after being made redundant from her job as British Airways cabin crew during the pandemic.
It is nominated in the customer service category, which is sponsored by laser hair removal company, Laser HQ.
This isn’t the first time the business has had award buzz, as it previously won 'Micro Business of the Year' at the 2022 Scottish Women's Awards.
The ceremony is to be held at Blackpool Winter Gardens and will be accompanied by a livestream that kicks off at 7pm.
