SALTCOATS town centre's newest shop is now officially open for business.

Your Dream Pop Up Shop opened it's doors on Hamilton Street on Friday, September 27 for the first time.

The business has opened in what was formerly the Sports and Rainwear store - with the new owners taking over the property in the days following its closure.

Since then, a lot of work has gone into renovating the building, both inside and out, which has been given a fresh lease of life.

There are also plans for further down the road which could help the business expand even further.

The store is now hoping to bring plenty of opportunities to local entrepreneurs with the new owner of the shop saying it was always their "dream" to own their own store.

So when the opportunity arose, they took the decision to help others with the same dream fulfil exactly that.

They will do so by operating the business as a 'pop up' space for locals who wish to sell their own products - though may not have the tools to open in their own physical space.

Instead, they can set up stall at 'Your Dream Pop Up Shop' -  in a 'car boot sale' or 'Christmas fayre' type fashion.

The business, at present, intends to open Monday-Saturday, from 9am-5pm -  with table costs beginning at £20 per day.
