A BUDDING golf star from Ardrossan has been celebrating success in recent weeks.
Stanley Primary School pupil Arran Lee had a taste of success at the Irvine Golf Club Junior Open earlier this month.
The contest is played across two divisions, with winners crowned for both scratch and nett scores.
Playing in the under 18 competition despite being just 11-years-old, Arran claimed the top prize in the nett category with a stunning score of 61 when his course handicap was taken away from his scratch score of 90.
Beating off competition from over 70 other golfers, Arran got his hands on a gold medal and a £40 voucher thanks to his fantastic scoring.
The youngster, who plays out of West Kilbride Golf Club, was delighted with his efforts and will no doubt be aiming for plenty more titles in the future!
