TWO police officers had to be taken to hospital after a callout to an incident in Stevenston.
It comes after officers were alerted to a "disturbance" in the Shore Road area of the town on Monday, September 30.
The alleged incident took place in a property in the street and a man has since been arrested and charged in connection.
He is due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Tuesday, October 1.
Police Scotland say that two of their officers were injured and taken to hospital during the incident but have since been released.
A force spokesperson said: “We were called to a report of a disturbance at a property in the Shore Road area of Stevenston around 3.55pm on Monday, September 30, 2024.
“A 43-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He’s due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.
“Two officers were injured during this incident and were taken to hospital for treatment and later released.”
