POLICE investigating an alleged serious sexual assault in Saltcoats say they have traced a man they want to speak to as part of the probe.
The alleged incident is said to have occurred in the Raise Street area of the town in the early hours of Thursday, June 13, 2024.
Police previously released an image showing a male who officers wished to speak to as part of the ongoing investigation.
Officers are further appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time to contact them.
A Police Scotland spokesperson added: "In particular, anyone with dash cam or doorbell recording equipment is asked to check the footage as there may be images which could assist the ongoing inquiries.
"If anyone has any information or recognises the man in the image, please contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 3890 of Thursday, June 13, 2024.
"Alternatively, please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where you can give your information anonymously."
