A PERSON had to be taken to hospital after emergency crews were called to an "incident" in Stevenston.
Local reports had suggested that services were called to attend on Thursday, October 3, after concern was raised for a person laying on the ground - showing little signs of movement.
The Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS) have since confirmed that they were called to an incident in the New Street area of the town shortly before 5pm.
Two vehicles, alongside two specialist teams, were sent to the scene before one patient was taken to Crosshouse Hospital.
A SAS spokesperson said: “We received a call at 4.53pm on October 3 to attend an incident in the New Street area of Stevenson.
"Two ambulances were dispatched to the scene and one patient was transported to Crosshouse Hospital.”
