THE Ayrshire Hospice shop in Kilwinning is set for closure, it is understood.
The charity are currently undertaking a review of their retail portfolio, with the future of all ten of its stores across the region under scrutiny.
It is believed that a decision has now been taken to close two branches - in Kilwinning and Mauchline.
No announcement has been made to finalise the decision, with no date for closure confirmed.
However it is expected to be communicated in due course, following the review's conclusion.
An Ayrshire Hospice spokesperson said: “The Ayrshire Hospice is currently undertaking a review of its retail portfolio only.
"Today, our network of 10 shops across Ayrshire generates revenues of over £1 million annually.
"This review is ongoing and is being shaped by the current retail team staff and volunteers who have provided valuable input as we look to move forward.
"The outcome of these discussions will be communicated across the organisation over the coming days.”
