FINALLY some good news for travellers - there WILL be a sailing from Arran to Ardrossan this evening (Wednesday, October 9).
Ferry operators CalMac have confirmed that due to an improvement in the weather, the 6.10pm sailing from Brodick will now be heading to Ardrossan after all.
Earlier today, we revealed that sailings between Ardrossan and Brodick were off for the day, due to north-easterly winds. The service was diverted to Troon instead.
The rest of the day's sailings from the Ayrshire mainland to the island will be from Troon harbour.
Buses have been organised to take foot passengers to/from Ardrossan and Troon as follows: Bus Depart Ardrossan: 3.20pm, 7,15pm. Bus Depart Troon: 2.25pm.
