THE Save Ardrossan Harbour group have taken another step forward - with a committee now put in place.
Members were elected at the latest meeting of the organisation on Wednesday, October 9.
Frances Gilmour and Amanda Simpson were appointed as chair and vice-chair respectively.
Matthew McGowan was made secretary and Lesley Dunbar was appointed as treasurer.
Several other roles were chosen to represent the various local areas and communities concerned with saving Ardrossan Harbour.
The committee has a total of 14 representatives, who were selected from the near-140 people who attended the second public meeting of the group.
It is hoped that this will now help drive the group forward in taking its next steps as members bid to ensure that the town remains the main port for the Brodick ferry in the future.
The next meeting of Save Ardrossan Harbour will be taking place on Wednesday, October 23, with the venue yet to be confirmed.
Further details will be provided closer to the time, and updates will be made available via the group's Facebook page.
