ARDROSSAN'S new Hub on the Prom was officially opened on Saturday - with a fantastic free fun day for families.

And the visitors certainly seemed impressed by the hub's café and facilities.

(Image: Charlie Gilmour) The Ardrossan Community Development Trust, in partnership with NAC Connected Communities, Smiths Family Attractions and the renowned Blackhouse Sauna, worked hard to make the day unforgettable.

(Image: ACDT) And there was plenty to keep everyone entertained on the promenade, with soft archery, badge making and face painting.

(Image: Charlie Gilmour) The Community Bus was present on-site to provide additional support and information for those interested in learning more about the services available in the town.

(Image: Charlie Gilmour) In the hub itself, visitors could enjoy a variety of amenities, including free deckchair hire and access to disability-friendly wheelers ensuring everyone could fully experience the beautiful beachfront.
