FERRY sailings between Arran and Ardrossan will be off for the rest of today (Friday, October 18) as well as early tomorrow, CalMac have confirmed.
Services have been off all day today due to adverse weather conditions. But the ferry company had hoped to restore the service for the 6.45pm sailing from Brodick to the mainland. That has now been cancelled too.
The bad weather has also scuppered plans for the MV Lord of the Isles to take over the route from MV Hebridean Isles from first thing tomorrow.
Due to the conditions, the Lord of the Isles will be unable to conduct berthing trials this evening. The vessel will make passage to Brodick and remain overnight for safe berthing.
Tomorrow (Saturday, October 19), the MV Lord of the Isles berthing trials will commence.
That means the 7am departing Ardrossan and the 8.20am departing Brodick have been cancelled.
Following successful trials, the vessel intends to commence service with the 9.45am ferry departing Ardrossan.
