A MAJOR police investigation has been launched in the Blacklands area of Kilwinning after a person suffered serious injuries.
The incident in the Pollock Crescent area was reported just before 2pm this afternoon and police teams remain at the scene.
Some roads in the area remain closed as the investigation continues.
There was a large presence of Police Scotland vehicles, including two quad bikes, around the Blacklands Avenue area of the town throughout the afternoon.
A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed: “Around 1.55pm on Friday, October 18, 2024, officers received a report of a person with serious injuries in the Pollock Crescent area of Kilwinning.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
