THE A78 between Ardrossan and West Kilbride is currently closed in both directions.

Traffic Scotland have been reporting the closure of the ‘shore road’ since 2.50pm on Saturday, October 19.

Their website said: “The A78 is currently closed in both directions at Montfode Roundabout, near Ardrossan due to a road traffic incident.

“Motorists are advised to use an alternative route at this time and allow extra time for their journey."

A Police Spokesperson said: "At around 2.15pm on Saturday, 19 October, 2024 police received a report of a road collision involving two cars on the Crawfords Lodge access road, Ardrossan.

 

"Emergency services are in attendance and recovery has been arranged."
