TRAIN services have now resumed between Kilwinning, Ardrossan and Largs as Storm Ashley hits the west coast.
Due to high waves at Saltcoats making contact with the overhead wires, services stopped running between Kilwinning and Largs/Ardrossan earlier in the afternoon.
Ticket acceptance was put in place on all McGill's routes between Largs and Gourock/ Greenock and Stagecoach West services between Ardrossan and Glasgow.
📽️ Footage from our team at Saltcoats. You can see the waves and debris coming over the sea wall, meaning it's not safe to run trains until conditions improve.
