AN ARDROSSAN mum's effort to raise funds for the town's Christmas lights was certainly no yolk.
Angela McCorgray went the extra mile over the weekend as she looked to help provide a cash boost to those organising the annual event.
As is the case across the county, council budget cuts mean the Ardrossan Christmas Lights Group have to bridge a gap in terms of funding.
As a result, the volunteer group launched a fundraiser last month - with the aim of raising £4,000 to help make sure they can put the lights up before ensuring these are maintained and stored for future events.

These funds would help ensure another successful year when the big switch on - which will feature a parade, carols, entertainers and Christmas market stalls - takes place on Friday, November 29.
This effort was something which Angela heard all about when she attended the craft cafe in the town's Church of the Nazarene on Tuesday.
After this, she had a "crazy idea" of how she could help boost the organiser's efforts.
Angela decided she could do her bit, and came up with an eggs-cellent plan. She asked friends and family to donate cash - with each pound raised resulting in her allowing her sons to smash an egg over her head.
After raising £45, she went live on Facebook on Saturday, October 19, with her kids Ethan and Nathan - who certainly enjoyed the idea.
Her live video began with Ethan, 15, playing a fantastic Christmas tune on the piano - before the chaos commenced.
Then, for 10 minutes straight, yolk rained down on Angela - who put in a 'cracking' effort. The full video is still available on her Facebook page.
