SAILINGS from Ardrossan Harbour to Brodick have been cancelled today (Tuesday, October 22) - after the MV Lord of the Isles had to be redeployed elsewhere.
CalMac revealed: "Due to technical disruption elsewhere in the network, MV Lord of the Isles requires to be redeployed.
"As a result, the following sailings have been cancelled: Depart Ardrossan – 9.45am, 12.30pm, 3.20pm and 6pm. Depart Brodick – 11.05am, 1.55pm, 4.40pm, 7.20pm."
They added: "MV Alfred will continue to operate the Troon-Brodick service however due to disruption on the Ardrossan-Brodick route we expect this service to be very busy. Customers without a confirmed booking are not guaranteed travel.
"A coach will depart Ardrossan at 11.30am and 3.15pm to transfer passengers to Troon.
The coach transporting passengers from Troon to the train station will then proceed onto Ardrossan Port.
"We apologise for any inconvenience and have published information on passenger rights."
Due to the disruption elsewhere in the network, MV Alfred will operate the following amended timetable between Troon and Brodick:
Depart Troon – 8.35am, 12.45pm and 4.25pm.
Depart Brodick – 10.25am, 2.35pm and 6.15pm
The MV Isle of Arran will be carrying out sea trials today and upon successful completion, the vessel will then depart to Ardrossan to resume service at 7am on Wednesday, October 23.
The latest cancellations come after a weekend of disruption to the services from both Ardrossan and Troon harbours to Arran due to the storm.
