IRVINE'S Scottish Maritime Museum is inviting local artisans and businesses to apply for a stall at this year’s Christmas Market which, for the first time, will extend over three days.
The market, which is free for visitors, will take place in the stunning Linthouse building and outside Courtyard on Irvine Harbourside from Friday, November 29 to Sunday, December 1.
An evening market with live entertainment and a bar will take place from 3pm – 8pm on Friday, November 29.
There will also be lots of treats in store over the weekend markets which will run from 11am - 4pm on Saturday, November 30 and Sunday, December 1.
These include Ayrshire Food an a' That which returns with live food demonstrations and a food market on the Saturday.
Christopher Woodland, commercial manager at the Scottish Maritime Museum, said: “Our Christmas Market has grown hugely since we launched three years ago and now attracts thousands of visitors.
"This year, we’re thrilled to add an extra day to ensure that even more people can come and enjoy browsing and buying local crafts, food and drink and take in entertainment all within the fabulous setting of the museum.
“The Christmas stalls are the beating heart of the market and we’re keen to hear from artisans and makers from across Ayrshire, both those we have welcomed before and those new to the museum.
“The Scottish Maritime Museum Christmas Market is a fantastic opportunity to showcase products or services and engage with an enthusiastic audience.
“Spaces have always filled quickly so anyone who is interested should get in touch as soon as they can.”
Those wishing to apply should email visitorservices@scotmaritime.org.uk for more information.
