A GROUP of lovable dogs are still on the lookout for their forever home from a rescue centre near Cumnock.

Islay Dog Rescue often runs at full capacity, saving dogs from the local area and far beyond.

The team is looking for prospective dog owners to step forward, as well as a need for any volunteers for a range of jobs.

Here's a selection of the dogs at the Ayrshire centre looking for rehoming.

Rumi

Rumi is a two-year-old Saluki male.

He is neutered and could possibly live with calm, female dogs. He is untested with cats and could potentially live with kids over 12.

Roxy

Roxy is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross who is 2 years old.

She has been spayed and could possibly live with a calm, male dog.

However, she would not be suited to a home with cats, and preferably no children.

She is known to be extremely affectionate and loves her exercise.

Tess

Tess is the mummy of the Islay Dog Rescue group at the age of 11.

She is a collie-type cross and could live with other dogs.

She would be suited to a home with kids over the age of 10 and she is extremely affectionate and loves to be around people.
