ONE of the finest entertainers to ever come out of Ayrshire will be making a rare return to his home county this weekend.
And there is still a chance for locals to get their hands on a ticket to see Tim Dalling perform his one man show at Irvine's Harbour Arts Centre on Sunday, November 3.
Born in Ayr, Tim has made a name for himself through his work as a performer over the years.
He will be a face familiar to many as the previous frontman of The New Rope Stringband - while he is also a regular on the UK panto circuit.
After branching out on his own, he has written and recorded as a powerfully observant singer-songwriter and received rave reviews from a number of critics.
Now living in the north east of England, Tim's return to Ayrshire is part of a rare run of Scottish tour dates which will see him perform his one-man show at a number of small, intimate venues.
Councillor Alan Hill, cabinet member for communities and islands, is encouraging residents and visitors to book their tickets for this weekend’s performance.
He said: “The council’s arts and culture team are delighted to welcome Tim Dalling’s popular one-man show at the Harbour Arts Centre – our flagship culture and performance venue for North Ayrshire.
“Happening this weekend, this is a brilliant opportunity for residents and visitors to experience something different in a local and intimate venue.
"So, if you’re looking for an escape now that the darker winter nights are upon us, why not pop along on the Sunday, November 3, to see this iconic local performer for yourself?”
Tickets on sale now from the Harbour Arts Centre box office or via the Ticket Source website. Doors for the event are open from 7pm, before the performance begins at 7.30pm.
